Established in 2010, Musical Voices Maui started with an annual summer music series for three years. Our audiences grew from 500 to 900 attendees. The original all-volunteer orchestra included professional musicians playing next to high school students. The chorus added nearly 75 voices to standing room only concerts. In 2013, our conductor collaborated with MAPA to produce Les Misérables performance with six shows and over 6,000 attendees. In 2014, MVM morphed to Maui Chamber Orchestra and the Masterworks Chorale and became a 501 c (3) non-profit organization. In 2014, a four-concert series resulted in over 2900 attendees and in 2015, 3200 attendees. Under the direction of Robert E. Wills, the caliber of the performers is matched to outstanding music programming likely to only be found in major cities. Our board of directors is proud to lead Maui Chamber Orchestra to our Vision 2020 goals for financial sustainability is this island community.
